One Minute

Today is world poetry day and tweeter has come up #poetweet that wants poets to write 140 characters of a poem, i did mine but again some days has his too.

One Minute
As we part ways on the matatu,
Before the next one minute,
I caressed your fingers and peck you chick
Before the next one minute we said we love each other
And said good bye,
I watched the dust rise as the matatu speed off

Before the next one minute
I thought I whispered a prayer,
But I needed to be calm so I will do it before I sleep
And when the night will be calm,

One minute, I walked
Thinking about yeasternight and how I am gonna miss you,
Till the next month it’s when I will see your cute face,
I know its gonna be hard for both of us,
Don’t get bored, enjoy the coolness of the land and calmness of the air

One minute, I said it loud,
I will try and keep myself busy not to forget you
But to prepare you a welcoming party
Be rest assured, I will keep your heart safe
Please do with mine too
Last Second , let me blow a kiss.

Aftershocks: Japan needs you

“I am trying to respond with my toes but I can’t, maybe if I scream, someone will hear me but I am deaf and blind, worse still I stutter. Where are my brother and sister? Oh no I am stuck and this pain is too much, let me just lay still and think.

These voices in my head are telling me something, let me concentrate. Yes, I have found a way, let me stretch my hand a little and feel what’s near me. I can feel something cold, oh no, it’s a hand that seem to have been amputated, its sticky, I am tense now, this is not good, am I in hell?  Heaven is soft and warm, this is definitely hell, if only I could see.

One thing I remember is getting pulled by my brother and pushed under the bed and then I blacked-out. How long I have been this way, I can’t tell, Oh my God, don’t let it by my brothers, no please. And where are they, I am nervous now and getting agitated, I have to get away from this place. It feels so chilly. I know I am used being the dark since my birth but where I am, it’s more than that.

Yes, I have found what I have been looking for, it’s shapelessly round and rough definitely a stone. Let me throw it, as far as I can. And I am gonna throw everything within my reach, yes this one too. I know and I believe this way someone will hear the sounds am making and come to the  rescue.”
Somedays like tsunami and earthquakes that hit Japan and New Zealand, it caught people off guard, with late warnings that others were too weary to run and too old to compete,Others who were physically challenged may have been caught in the mess. I am not there, I am far a way in Kenya, but I know someone who can’t get up,he/she is trapped between  fallen buildings and wrecked cars. He/she can’t move a leg or make a cry of help, but they are alive. Let’s not stop the rescue, lets continue the search and if you are far to donate help, then one thing is possible, A Prayer will do.

Japan, you will rise again and this too shall pass.

God is with you.

Tiwi Beach Camp thanks to MombasaTweeps

Some days when you need to connect with nature and laugh till you get to call a doctor to do some rib stitching then get a tweeter account, if you have one, get your followers to follow you to a place you can call the new Eden I.e Tiwi
Last weekend at a time like this, MombasaTweeps got ready for a camping adventure, you see it was an idea by @artsim the msa tweeps President that instead of us guys just tweet, we got to do something more tweetfun, hence Tiwi beach camp was conceived, then followers start giving ideas on what to carry and activities to do while we get there to avoid bumming syndromes. Tiwi Beach Camp became Viral in Msa till funs (I.e Kirt) from Nairobi had to come in and put more Juice, Mwanzo they came with cool swagger though  at times bragged about Nairobi being much cool than Mombasa but hey, Msa tweethearts  didn’t disappoint, they gave out their coolness, Plus some Nairobi funs who migrated to msa , man @njooro , @lquira1(I think she still weighing some things) and the hot cake girl Flo, a die-hard Rap fun, chic loves it, she needs  One mic in Africa to prove it all, please @artsim don’t start to laugh!
Things got courageous; thanks to @lquira1 that we get to know what talent is all about, chic makes earrings from anything ( cool stuff) and they come out  beautiful , I think will call her and get to surprise someone who loved them but held it inside. And oh she blogs too, go here for Hatua Likoni and get to know what she does in eradicating poverty in our society together with her highness Gaby.. Speaking of Gaby, well need not to say more, she is a hilarious Boss and an Inspiring one too, Oh boy, @sideword, nice guy, though quiet that made us think twice when he wakes up, but he made it happen, together with Gaby, they helped us pitch some tents, looked for firewood and kept all the memories in camera. Thank you guys.
And yeah @Shiko_Msa , nice lady, She made this happen by teaming up with @artsim to organize food for us and transport in her posh car that made the whole experience complete. She blogs too, http://shikomsa.com/ and you should visit her Nyali Curio shop where interior design is showcased and you won’t leave there empty handed. Man @njooro, mmm you can’t forget him, cool chap, he can hook you up with any places around Diani South coast and I tell you this, he doesn’t disappoint, check out http://www.dianilife.com/ .
Tiwi beach camp was the best, I got to learn so many things from my pals and I tell you what, never ignore any of your followers or friends(for FB fellows) each one of them has something to teach, once we learn from them too, then success comes easy. There is nothing wrong in human connection(@artsim focus) between two people, we all have something to share, thanks to tweeter it brought this out.
And oh, I won’t forget the fish, the roasted fish and the bouncing Ugali plus getting envy to those that came from a swim, the night too, with stories at the fireside and snores inside the tents, not forgetting the sunrise that captured my eyes with a view inside the tent, an Angel next to me,  such a soothing experience warms my heart, and I am left to wonder, why does a man need a head? Next on tweetup we shall find out.
