One Minute

Today is world poetry day and tweeter has come up #poetweet that wants poets to write 140 characters of a poem, i did mine but again some days has his too.

One Minute
As we part ways on the matatu,
Before the next one minute,
I caressed your fingers and peck you chick
Before the next one minute we said we love each other
And said good bye,
I watched the dust rise as the matatu speed off

Before the next one minute
I thought I whispered a prayer,
But I needed to be calm so I will do it before I sleep
And when the night will be calm,

One minute, I walked
Thinking about yeasternight and how I am gonna miss you,
Till the next month it’s when I will see your cute face,
I know its gonna be hard for both of us,
Don’t get bored, enjoy the coolness of the land and calmness of the air

One minute, I said it loud,
I will try and keep myself busy not to forget you
But to prepare you a welcoming party
Be rest assured, I will keep your heart safe
Please do with mine too
Last Second , let me blow a kiss.

Aftershocks: Japan needs you

“I am trying to respond with my toes but I can’t, maybe if I scream, someone will hear me but I am deaf and blind, worse still I stutter. Where are my brother and sister? Oh no I am stuck and this pain is too much, let me just lay still and think.

These voices in my head are telling me something, let me concentrate. Yes, I have found a way, let me stretch my hand a little and feel what’s near me. I can feel something cold, oh no, it’s a hand that seem to have been amputated, its sticky, I am tense now, this is not good, am I in hell?  Heaven is soft and warm, this is definitely hell, if only I could see.

One thing I remember is getting pulled by my brother and pushed under the bed and then I blacked-out. How long I have been this way, I can’t tell, Oh my God, don’t let it by my brothers, no please. And where are they, I am nervous now and getting agitated, I have to get away from this place. It feels so chilly. I know I am used being the dark since my birth but where I am, it’s more than that.

Yes, I have found what I have been looking for, it’s shapelessly round and rough definitely a stone. Let me throw it, as far as I can. And I am gonna throw everything within my reach, yes this one too. I know and I believe this way someone will hear the sounds am making and come to the  rescue.”
Somedays like tsunami and earthquakes that hit Japan and New Zealand, it caught people off guard, with late warnings that others were too weary to run and too old to compete,Others who were physically challenged may have been caught in the mess. I am not there, I am far a way in Kenya, but I know someone who can’t get up,he/she is trapped between  fallen buildings and wrecked cars. He/she can’t move a leg or make a cry of help, but they are alive. Let’s not stop the rescue, lets continue the search and if you are far to donate help, then one thing is possible, A Prayer will do.

Japan, you will rise again and this too shall pass.

God is with you.

Tiwi Beach Camp thanks to MombasaTweeps

Some days when you need to connect with nature and laugh till you get to call a doctor to do some rib stitching then get a tweeter account, if you have one, get your followers to follow you to a place you can call the new Eden I.e Tiwi
Last weekend at a time like this, MombasaTweeps got ready for a camping adventure, you see it was an idea by @artsim the msa tweeps President that instead of us guys just tweet, we got to do something more tweetfun, hence Tiwi beach camp was conceived, then followers start giving ideas on what to carry and activities to do while we get there to avoid bumming syndromes. Tiwi Beach Camp became Viral in Msa till funs (I.e Kirt) from Nairobi had to come in and put more Juice, Mwanzo they came with cool swagger though  at times bragged about Nairobi being much cool than Mombasa but hey, Msa tweethearts  didn’t disappoint, they gave out their coolness, Plus some Nairobi funs who migrated to msa , man @njooro , @lquira1(I think she still weighing some things) and the hot cake girl Flo, a die-hard Rap fun, chic loves it, she needs  One mic in Africa to prove it all, please @artsim don’t start to laugh!
Things got courageous; thanks to @lquira1 that we get to know what talent is all about, chic makes earrings from anything ( cool stuff) and they come out  beautiful , I think will call her and get to surprise someone who loved them but held it inside. And oh she blogs too, go here for Hatua Likoni and get to know what she does in eradicating poverty in our society together with her highness Gaby.. Speaking of Gaby, well need not to say more, she is a hilarious Boss and an Inspiring one too, Oh boy, @sideword, nice guy, though quiet that made us think twice when he wakes up, but he made it happen, together with Gaby, they helped us pitch some tents, looked for firewood and kept all the memories in camera. Thank you guys.
And yeah @Shiko_Msa , nice lady, She made this happen by teaming up with @artsim to organize food for us and transport in her posh car that made the whole experience complete. She blogs too, http://shikomsa.com/ and you should visit her Nyali Curio shop where interior design is showcased and you won’t leave there empty handed. Man @njooro, mmm you can’t forget him, cool chap, he can hook you up with any places around Diani South coast and I tell you this, he doesn’t disappoint, check out http://www.dianilife.com/ .
Tiwi beach camp was the best, I got to learn so many things from my pals and I tell you what, never ignore any of your followers or friends(for FB fellows) each one of them has something to teach, once we learn from them too, then success comes easy. There is nothing wrong in human connection(@artsim focus) between two people, we all have something to share, thanks to tweeter it brought this out.
And oh, I won’t forget the fish, the roasted fish and the bouncing Ugali plus getting envy to those that came from a swim, the night too, with stories at the fireside and snores inside the tents, not forgetting the sunrise that captured my eyes with a view inside the tent, an Angel next to me,  such a soothing experience warms my heart, and I am left to wonder, why does a man need a head? Next on tweetup we shall find out.

KenyaFEB28, United we Stand, Divided we fall

On February 28th  at 1pm, lets all Stand up and sing our national anthem, lets join  hands with those close and hearts to those far, let’s do it for people who are still in IDP camps, the unborn children, our neighbors, friends, lovers and families. It’s been long coming and we are almost there, only one thing remains, teaming up with one song.

Bob Marley said it in One love song, so let’s get together and feel aaaaight , let’s do it for the love that has been lost and that one that has been found or rekindled, though bad memories reside, it’s ok, it’s all yesterday, where we are going is so much beautiful and real, so let’s unite and make tomorrow better.

We have been lied to, even to those that we had put trust on. Our politicians have fed us with sweet words that we enjoy with our tongue and forget what our hearts need and simply vote them in, Maybe this day is not about this, maybe this day is not about that street child hustling for a good day only to end up in dust bins. Let’s do it again so that maybe ‘Nairobi Nights’ will publish a best seller and leave the streets.

Lets stand, unite, smile and forgive each other, there is no better way than hugging our enemies and congratulating our friends, for without us all in one, there is no better Kenya, without us having a common goal, then better tomorrow will stay in our dreams. lets stand up for ourselves and shame those against us.

Let’s forget our religions, let’s forget our color, we all got one blood and one God. It is written, God created us in his own image. We are powerful beyond measure and that’s why on this day, we unite.  Imagine uniting with that power of love, friendship, forgiveness, the power to build real homes, schools, hospitals, that power of a doctor a lawyer and a geek.

I will stand up for peace and love, above all, for better Kenya, I am tired of dreams going under and lies coming on top, I am tired of seeing people acquire wealth with no legit means, just by using people and playing cards they get what they want. I am tired seeing people on Facebook,  Twitter, blogs, with updates of getting hurt because someone did not stand up to their word, I am sick and tired because children are being raised by nannies/grandparents , because parents have to go to extreme means to bring food on the table. I am sick and tired because the current leaders I have, do not inspire me so that I can add them as my mentors. Only leaders I got are those long dead, the likes of Ouko and Tom Mboya, the likes of Masinde Muliro and Kijana Wamalwa, dear God, rest them in peace.

I want a simple Kenya, one that knows no tribe, one that creates jobs for all.

I am Kenyan and I know, United we Stand, Divided we Fall, that’s why I will stand up for Kenya on 28th  February 2011 at 1 pm and sing the National Anthem.

Talk to me

Morning my love,
Morning my sky dove
Morning my star
I woke up with a peaceful heart
No hurting headaches’ just Calm heart
And a voice inside me whispered to me like an art
Slowly but with a firm voice
It told me to talk to you and listen to every word u say
So here I am,

I want to listen to anything you want to tell me
And in any way u want to put it across.
Before the sun sets today
Before the moon makes love to the sea
I need to see you smile even if I am a mile a way.
I love you the same way.

As we sat next to each other

As we sat next to each other
I wonder what to say
It’s been so easy to speak out my feelings each day
And now as I sat near you I feel numb
I feel like I have been running for ever
And now I am breathing heavily upon waiting the crown.

As we sat next to each other
Am amazed by how you have grown
Grown so beautiful and mature that each movement of you
Is a beauty of it’s on beyond my description.
And each time I hold your hands and feel your palms
I get this feeling, same feelings that I always have for only you
And again, it feels like new, old and yes! It feels so comforting.

As we sat towards each other
I get to see your eyes, your face and hear you voice,
All this My Angel, tells me I am in the right place, right relationship, right everything!
And I promise to sit near your or towards you weather in happiness, saddens, or far from each other.

May God bless our closeness, may He sit near US
Every day and night and life after.
And as I sat near you, I will say I love you thousands time
And mean it seventy times seventy times and more
I love you.

Forget what you know, How is Heaven Like?

Have you ever wake up some day and ask yourself how heaven is like? Today I did.

As I put my warm feet on my cold bedroom floor, in reflex I quickly lift them up and go like, ‘I need to get a carpet like now’. Then I started questioning myself, how is heaven like?

Forget the material you have been preached with, read in some library books or taught in C.R.E class, I mean, coming up with a perfect heaven description within the self you.

Well to me, heaven is like a dream, a beautiful dream, where you don’t want to wake up. Heaven is like snow white, everything pure, fresh and soothing, that’s why lovers say, a good kiss makes you feel like you are in heaven.

In heaven you are everywhere, with your snap of your fingers, you are there, in heaven you hover around angels and get to see the Lord with naked eyes, tell me how cool that is.

Heaven holds such peace and agape love that no one lives with scars, heartaches and headaches. There is no beginning or ending, everything is controlled by the self you. There is neither sickness nor hunger, neither hurting nor tears, neither pain nor sadness, just joy and enough fulfillment.

Everything in heaven is equal, like the way in this world is seen through the eyes of a child. A child will look at a person and not judge them by the way they appear, a child will smile back to anything beautiful and invite his/her friend to their home because to him/her, there is no discrimination or rejection, everyone is equal.

These waters we see, the ocean with its wonderful sunrise and mountains with its kissing clouds ignoring the beautiful sunset because of jealous, the night of stars shinning welcoming the moon and its pregnant wonders.Their birth,is seen with our naked eyes.As we hover and shape-shift ourselves in the heavenly place, we will see how a simple drop of God’s glass of clear water makes rivers into ocean, we will see how the Lord shades tears because His people had suffered enough. In Heaven, the air we breathe is not Oxygen, it’s something else, something the gets back you energy like pap, and you can surely fly again, sing again and dance again.

Each day we live, how we live it, how we help the needy and respect each and everyone’s property. What we give out with open heart and accept with a thankful one. The less we lie and the more we speak truth, how we express love and trust God, well, that’s how we create our paradise.

Live a life that is Kingdom connected and Heaven will be your next home.
